Company History

Visual Outdoor Advertising, LLC was formed in December of 2000 and started doing business under the name Visual Connections, LLC. The three original partners in the company were Terry Poteete, Jason Burrell, and Jim Poteete. The picture to the right was taken in June of 2001 next to the first billboard we built in Union County near Blairsville, Georgia. Over the next three years, Jim Poteete and Jason Burrell left the company to pursue other opportunities leaving Terry Poteete in early 2004 as the only remaining original partner in the company. The name Visual Connections, LLC was changed to Visual Outdoor Advertising, LLC that same year.

Organizational Structure

Terry Poteete is the General Manager of Visual Outdoor Advertising, LLC and is responsible for the strategic planning, sales and customer care, operations, real estate, and financial functions for the company.

Strategic Planning – Terry Poteete (acting) is responsible for the Strategic Planning function within the company including acquisition analysis and the three year planning cycle.

Sales and Customer Care - Terry Poteete (acting) has responsibility for all Sales and Customer Care functions for the company. Other areas of responsibility include community giving and support, web presence, and all web based marketing.

Operations - Len Sturdivant is responsible for the overall Operations for the company. This includes contract management, the data network, building maintenance, billboard maintenance, advertisement installation, and process improvement.

Real Estate - Len Sturdivant (acting) is the Real Estate Manager and is responsible for all real estate operations, lease contract management, and maintenance of the billboard sites.

Financial - LuAnn Poteete is the Financial Manager of the company and is responsible for billing, collections, cash management, and financial reporting.
